Maurienne Freerando Week

Weekly Program

Arrival on Saturday, with skiing planned over 6 days.

Day 1 (Sunday):
Welcome at the local base to prepare and check ski equipment.
The guide organizes a simple avalanche victim search exercise and checks the group’s level.

Days 2 to 6 (Monday to Friday):
Freerando (freeride touring) or ski touring.
The choice of resort—either Les Karellis or Bonneval-sur-Arc—will depend on weather conditions and your preferences.

Every morning, you’ll depart from your accommodation in a minibus to the selected resort.

Explore varied terrains for a unique experience in Maurienne.
After skiing, enjoy a convivial moment with a drink at the local base in Termignon to socialize and debrief the day before returning to your accommodation.

Day 7 :
Departure.

Required Level

At Altitude Guides, we love skiing so much that we want to offer a week that perfectly matches your expectations. We absolutely want to avoid having skiers end up in a group that isn’t suited to their level. That’s why we take great care in forming our group trips.

To ensure this, we’ve chosen to offer the following weeks for collective groups:

• For intermediate skiers: January 16–23, 2027, and January 23–30, 2027
• For advanced/expert skiers: January 30–February 6, 2027, and February 6–13, 2027

Depending on the level and desires of each group member, the guide will tailor the week’s program to suit you perfectly!

Equipment

We ensure you have the appropriate gear: modern avalanche transceiver (DVA), shovel, and probe and avalanche backpack.

Altitude Guides is equipped with the latest high-quality safety gear, thanks to our partnerships with Ortovox and BCA. We provide this equipment upon request.

We recommend skiing with touring equipment, including release bindings and climbing skins, for both ski quality and safety. (Link to Useful Information page/…)

Transport

To ensure you have a pleasant and stress-free experience, we pick you up every day from your accommodation in our minibus. We can also arrange to collect you from the airport or train station that suits you best—just let us know!

Private Group

You already have a group (2 to 6 people).
Your guide will adapt to your preferences and schedules! Enjoy a unique, tailored experience.

Collective Group

Want to join a group? This format is perfect for you.
You’ll have the chance to meet other enthusiasts and maybe even make new friends for your future ski sessions!
Based on each person’s level, the guide will find the perfect outing to satisfy everyone and create a united group that pushes its limits!

Without Accommodation

You already have an apartment or a great deal in Haute Maurienne.

Apartment

At Le Lioues, just 5 minutes from our base, in an authentic building equipped with a sauna, Roselyne will welcome you in one of her apartments (for 2 to 10 people). Everything is set up for a comfortable ski stay: ski lockers and boot dryers.

Hôtel

• L’Outa: A 5-minute walk from our base, at the foot of the slopes in Termignon, this fully renovated hotel offers a lounge-bar to welcome and gather you after a day of skiing. The added bonus? A spa for well-deserved relaxation.
• La Turra: Located just a stone’s throw from our base camp, this hotel offers a family-friendly atmosphere, close to all amenities. With its lounge, bar, and restaurant serving inventive cuisine, it’s perfect for moments of relaxation and sharing.

In a group setting:
• At the hotel half board in hared room: €2100/person

• Without accommodation: €1400/person

In a private group:

*A minimum of 4 participants is required to maintain the activity. Below this number, we reserve the right to propose an adjustment to the outing, to cancel, or to suggest a postponement of the activity.

• • • Supervision: UIAGM guide for 6 days of skiing.

    • Ski equipment rental (skis, boots, etc.)

• • Transportation from the airport (Geneva or Turin Caselle) or train stations (Modane and Chambéry) to the hotel.
