This course lets you try outdoor climbing with ease! Join a certified mountain guide or instructor for a full day of climbing in nature. Perfect for indoor climbers or those returning to the sport, this session will teach you the essential safety skills needed to climb outdoors independently. You’ll receive practical tips to enjoy climbing safely and confidently on real rock.
The course covers equipment, belay station management, key differences from indoor climbing, and climbing techniques—all while ensuring you get plenty of time on the rock itself!
PREREQUISITES:
- Basic knowledge of indoor or sport climbing
- Proficiency in lead belaying
- Ability to lead climb routes graded 5 or higher
- Minimum physical fitness for 30-minute ascents

Already climbing level 5 or higher indoors or on single-pitch crags? Ready to tackle multi-pitch alpine routes?
This course will teach you all the skills and techniques needed to safely and independently climb your first multi-pitch routes. Over two intensive days, you’ll learn the fundamentals of building anchors, rappelling, and essential knowledge to confidently take on big walls.
PREREQUISITES:
- Solid experience climbing and belaying at level 5 or above
- Prior outdoor climbing experience (a plus)
- Ability to move safely on uneven terrain
- Fitness level suitable for 1–2 hour ascents
COURSE GOALS:
- Climb equipped multi-pitch routes independently
- Master associated safety techniques
- Gain foundational skills for safely climbing well-equipped big walls
THEORETICAL CONTENT:
- Knots, gear, and outdoor climbing safety
- Introduction to route planning
- Specifics of crag climbing
- Using topo guides
- Alpine hazards and environmental awareness
PRACTICAL CONTENT:
- Anchor building
- Safety techniques and essential knots
- Leading and seconding: lead climbing and following
- Climbing tactics and techniques
- Rappelling

This course is your springboard to autonomous alpine rock climbing! We’ll build on your existing skills and experience, covering everything essential for alpine routes: navigation during approaches and on the climb, advanced belaying techniques and anchor variations, mobile protection placement, and risk assessment.
PREREQUISITES:
- Basic knowledge of alpine rock climbing or sport climbing
- Proficiency in belaying and knots for multi-pitch routes
- Experience climbing equipped big walls
- Good physical condition (for 1–2 hour ascents)
COURSE GOAL:
- Climb alpine big walls and easier mountain routes independently, including placing mobile protection when necessary.
THEORETICAL CONTENT:
- Knots, safety, and risk management
- Route planning for big walls
- Alpine rock climbing specifics
- Using topo guides and equipment
- Environmental, weather, and mountain navigation considerations
PRACTICAL CONTENT:
- Building various types of anchors
- Belay station techniques and anchor management
- Rock navigation and route finding
- Placing nuts and cams
- Lead and second climbing techniques
- Moving as a rope team and dynamic belaying
- Climbing multi-pitch alpine routes
- Descent and rappelling techniques
